We support many clients with complex and outsourced contracts. Often, they do not wish us to talk about this publicly. But we’ve worked with well known, national and international brands for years – and they’re happy to provide personal testimonials to individuals looking to appoint us.

Thread Consultancy came recommended to us by Avison Young in 2020 to assist in working with our café operator at Lakeside North Harbour.  Since having Sally on board she has steered us through a huge upswing in service performance, a café refurbishment and rebrand and a contract renewal.  Sally's catering consultancy knowledge has been invaluable and we now have a café that is highly valued and well used by our occupiers.  Exactly what we wanted.

It has been a real pleasure working with Sally in the procurement of a soft services contract in the United Kingdom and the United States. Sally provided invaluable support and advice to the procurement team during this process. I wish her all the very best in the future.
Patrick Murray, Consultant
Sally has an expert knowledge of Catering and is well thought of within the industry. She has the ability to communicate across all areas of a contract and company - from the highest level of the corporate board room to the site based team and understands the objectives of all.

On the more tactical side of catering Sally has provided an audit programme for all the contracts I have personally worked on, and provides the relevant expertise to ensure that the contract is delivering what it is contracted to deliver.

Thread Consultancy were appointed by an established real estate advisory organisation to undertake a mini strategic review of an existing foodservice provider within one of their managed buildings. A site visit and review of the product, facilities, service was undertaken, as well as a desktop review of the commercial arrangement and contract, a food cost benchmarking exercise and modelling of the commercial impacts of various cost saving and income generation scenarios. A report was provided with options and recommendations for future improvements not only to the service provision, but also to the commercial agreement which would deliver substantial cost savings to the building owner. This provided our client with an opportunity to present positive news to their end client and supported them securing a contract extension.

Thread Consultancy were appointed initially to carry out a review of catering services at a major national distribution company, following which various recommendations were made to improve the quality of the offer, to drive participation and cash sales and implement operational efficiencies – this targeted a reduction of client subsidy and an improvement in the contract management mechanism. We supported a contract renegotiation for an extended term, and continued to support the client with contract management including quality audits, KPI monitoring, labour analysis, sales, marketing and financial performance, as well as an annual contract review.

We’re an independent consultancy business. In order to be as agile and responsive to our clients as possible, we have a number of strategic alliances with our longstanding network of trusted contacts, including Grenfell James Accountants and creative communications agency, GRIN.
