CASE STUDY ONE
Thread Consultancy were appointed by an established real estate advisory organisation to undertake a mini strategic review of an existing foodservice provider within one of their managed buildings. A site visit and review of the product, facilities, service was undertaken, as well as a desktop review of the commercial arrangement and contract, a food cost benchmarking exercise and modelling of the commercial impacts of various cost saving and income generation scenarios. A report was provided with options and recommendations for future improvements not only to the service provision, but also to the commercial agreement which would deliver substantial cost savings to the building owner. This provided our client with an opportunity to present positive news to their end client and supported them securing a contract extension.
CASE STUDY TWO
Thread Consultancy were appointed initially to carry out a review of catering services at a major national distribution company, following which various recommendations were made to improve the quality of the offer, to drive participation and cash sales and implement operational efficiencies – this targeted a reduction of client subsidy and an improvement in the contract management mechanism. We supported a contract renegotiation for an extended term, and continued to support the client with contract management including quality audits, KPI monitoring, labour analysis, sales, marketing and financial performance, as well as an annual contract review.
